American Express has a host of activations around Brookline today as the U.S. Open tees off, providing card members with an array of unique benefits. "Our strategy is to ensure they have an epic experience," AmEx VP/Global Experiential & Marketing Sponsorships Shiz Suzuki told SBJ. At the 6th hole, the American Express Card Member Lounge will enable card members to relax with a climate-controlled space, for-purchase bar and other amenities. The lounge offers indoor and outdoor seating with a view and Father's Day cards for visitors to fill out. Card members can bring two guests.
At other sites around The Country Club, card members have access to a variety of services, including phone charging lockers, portable mophie chargers and more. They will also receive 10% off all on-site concessions when using their AmEx card. Additionally, card members can pick up their AmEx Radio to hear tournament play-by-play and highlights via the SiriusXM broadcast. AmEx is also providing radios to non-card members during a time window during the tournament. AmEx is also working with brand ambassador Tony Finau to give one card member and their family a peek into what it's like to spend a day with a PGA Tour professional at the U.S. Open.
