Robert Howard
CHAIRMAN
Prior to joining TWM in 1999, Robert T. Howard gained more than 20 years of broad-based experience in the manufacturing and financial services industries. As a CPA, Bob had 10 years of experience in public accounting prior to joining Electro-Wire Products as Chief Financial Officer in 1990. In 1994, he was promoted to President of Electro-Wire's Truck and Industrial Group, a division of Electro-Wire that achieved revenue growth from $18 million in 1990 to $104 million in 1995. Bob serves as director of TMW, Amerigon Incorporated, Pullman Industries, and EPIC Technologies. He graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting.
John J. Sammut
CEO
Prior to the formation of EPIC Technologies, a multinational electronics manufacturing services company, John J. Sammut was responsible for TMW's investment platform strategy in electronics manufacturing. He joined Electro-Wire Products in 1990 as Manager of Market Development Engineering for the EMP division of Electro-Wire which achieved revenue growth from $6 million to $30 million by 1992. John was responsible for European Business Development from 1993 to 1995 during which Electro-Wire acquired a German electrical distribution system manufacturer with annual revenues of $120 million. Prior to joining Electro-Wire, John held several positions at Ford Motor Company from 1986 to 1990. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Management from Lawrence Technological University and an MBA from INSEAD, the European Institute of International Business.
Nick Opperman
President
Having founded Sound Decisions Ltd. in July 2000 to offer sports spectators a new medium with which to enjoy their live sport. He invented the radio systems that the company uses and in doing so built the company into Europe’s foremost event radio supplier. During early 2007, Nick started a US subsidiary company which became the seed for Live Sports Radio.
Previously, Nick was the Sales Director of Pharmasol Ltd. (a pharmaceutical contract manufacturer in the UK) and a Management Consultant for Evanston, IL-based ZS Associates, the premier advisor on Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing.
Nick studied Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management at Kings College London and has an MBA from Cranfield University where he also lectures to the MBA students on entrepreneurship and business start-ups on an ad-hoc basis.
Paul Oster
CFO
Paul Oster has worked with the Wheeler family since 1988 when he joined Electro-Wire Products as Corporate Controller. Since 1995 Paul has served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for TMW. Paul brings over 25 years of wide ranging experience serving as a financial executive in various capacities for a number of domestic and international entities associated with TMW and its predecessor, Elector-Wire, as well as with prior affiliations. Paul's area of oversight include corporate financing, cash management, real estate and risk management activities for TMW and its affiliate organizations. Paul is a Certified Public Accountant, having previously worked for Price Waterhouse and Ernst & Whinney. Paul serves as a director of Pullman Industries.
Doug Johnson
VP of Sales and Marketing
Prior to joining Live Sports Radio Doug was instrumental in growing the Earadio business (the precursor of Live Sports Radio). Doug worked with Sound Decisions (the UK parent company) and Earadio for two years where he used his sports expertise to secure American Express as a sponsor at the US Open (tennis) and sold and marketed Earadio to the following participants: Breeder's Cup, NCAA College World Series, NCAA Lacrosse Championships, US Open (Mexico), 2008 Ryder Cup, University of Michigan, Atlanta Falcon's Radio to name a few. Prior to Earadio Doug worked at CBS Sports and Host Communications, where he managed the $6B NCAA relationship. Doug has an extensive background in all aspects of sales and marketing in many different industries. Doug is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an MBA from Fordham University.
Wendy Wanner
Senior Manager of Event Planning
Before joining Live Sports Radio, Wendy S. Wanner, cultivated a multi million dollar real estate business in property development, building design, investment and sales. Other experience consists of various positions in Senior Management, Training & Development and Accounting, for national and local companies, President Tuxedo, Marshall Fields, and Dickson’s Inc. She has served 12 years as a Fundraising Chairman for a private school, along with fundraising for Michigan Animal Recue and youth mission events. Her studies include Oakland Community College and Oakland University in Business Administration.
